Is Wipro best for Freshers?

Spread the love

I have worked at wipro as an IT professional so I am going to share my experience at Wipro. First of all don’t expect it to be like one of the Glassdoor or some naukri.com Wipro reviews for freshers but it might resemble a lil 😉

Its all started with long, never ending training that lasted 3 months and ended with horrific exams and terrific results. I have heard from some sources that now a days training has been eased to some extent. If you are joining as lateral, don’t worry it won’t happen with you.

Anyway training is not a concern here. The original and Desi things starts after training in wipro and you will come to know that world is a very different and much more easy place than that was told during training. You will see a lot difference after training, speaking accent will be turned from British to some local like Bihari, Tamil or some Marathi English, that will be much easier to understand and much closer to your heart also <3

Wipro V2.0

After training you will see Wipro V2.0. If you are lucky you will get project easily and if you are very lucky you will get project on technology you were trained and if you are very very lucky you will get project on some hot technology rather than the bullshit you were trained.

First project is very important because this decides your career move. You might carry the same technology lifetime so be careful with it. You might have to keep sniffing around like a dog to smell it. So keep an open eye and be in touch with as much people as possible. Any senior person would be much better to guide you there.

Not necessary to mention, wherever you go you will get bumped with at least one good chick. That is best thing about Wipro ;). So the new version of Wipro that is V2.0 will be very charming for you and if you are lucky you will get spoon-feeding TL or colleague. So if we talk about fresh start Wipro is a good environment where you will get good opportunity to learn BUT not good opportunity to earn, keep in mind.

Wipro V3.0

After one and half year your appraisal will trigger and if you are not lucky enough it may take two or more than two years also in worst case. Finally after performance appraisal you will get good looking hike percent in your salary but since you basic salary is already freaking low you wont feel any difference in newer and older salary and this is how you will start worrying about your education loan installments, your increased lifestyle budget and all your mathematics will start revolving you for every investment, even a Parle-G in month end 😀 So in other words I can suggest you, not to make any romantic relationship there.

I think this is scary enough to make you understand the financial crisis but you will enjoy this phase too. There is a lot of pros too. Obviously that phase would be best to start looking for other option too. (not in all cases. If you would have been robotized you will stay). Anyway If you were good inside you will start getting call from outside like,”Come here son, I will suck you little”.

So this is how your life will go in Wipro and you won’t believe wipro is one of the best employer for fresher but you should keep in mind the other factor too which I have referred in earlier paragraphs.
This is how IT is and most important this is how Wipro is.
Anyway, thanks for reading. Hope you find it useful and understandable.
